We left Berlin around 4 AM. Still pitch dark. Shortly after take off, the sun rose and stayed like a hanging hand. Crossing time zones on a plane, time went on and yet stood still. Landing in Chicago, catching a coach to Madison. Finally travelling in human speed. Time didn’t wait. It caught up. Now the sun went down. The more snow we saw. What a countdown. Now it’s over. 2012 is the past, 2013 the future. Thanks to all of you who have taken the time to travel clockwise for a while. It was wonderful.
And thank you, too, for the space to take the journey alongside everyone here. I wanted to be here more than I was – travel and technology issues intervened – but it was good to be a part of this small ongoing node for this short while.
All the best for 2013, to you, and to all the clockwisers!!
Yes, kia ora Silke, for hosting us all. It was great to feel connected to a global network of writers for a while. Ngaa mihi o te tau hou – Happy New Year from Aotearoa New Zealand!
